4. Prices, taxes & duties
Our artwork and fine art prints are shipped from the EU. We do not charge VAT in our store (small business owner § 19 UStG). Taxes or duties may apply to your order upon import outside of the EU and these are the responsibility of and paid by the customer. Please refer to your local customs office for more information.
Please feel free to contact us in advance should you have any questions, before ordering.
The shipping costs are communicated to you on the product pages (Under "Shipping costs" link), in the shopping cart system and on the order page. In some cases, for orders outside of the European Union, additional shipping or insurance costs may be added to the price (see 6.).
5. Frames and mounts
Original artwork and Archival Digital Art Prints are delivered unmounted and unframed, unless stated otherwise in the product description. In those cases in which an artwork is already framed or mounted, this is included in the price.
6. Shipping and shipping costs
We aim to have your order ready for dispatch within 1-3 working days after payment is received. Archival Digital Prints take 1-2 weeks to dispatch.
We offer FREE SHIPPING on all orders in the EUROPEAN UNION, and for orders above €199,- WORLDWIDE.
Shipping in Germany: FREE
Shipping Europe (European Union): FREE
International shipping (worldwide): €34,00.*, and FREE for orders above €199,-
*For international shipping outside of the European Union, in some cases additional shipping or insurance costs may be added to the price to make sure original artwork reaches you safely (for example, with exceptionally large paintings or special requests). Should this be the case, we will inform you before your order is shipped. Because shipping times and costs vary considerably at the moment, we are always happy to discuss with you which shipping method best fits your order and preferred time scale. Please also refer to sections 4. Prices, taxes & duties, and 8. Delivery regions for more information on worldwide shipping. Please feel free to contact us in advance should you have any questions about your order, or wish to receive a cost indication before ordering.
We are not liable for any delays during the shipping process.
We are not liable for orders shipped to the wrong address due to mistakes made by the customer in communicating the address details in the checkout process.
We are not liable for orders that are shipped and then declined upon delivery at the address provided by the customer, or are abandoned (declined, not collected or accepted in time) at customs offices or post offices. Declined or abandoned orders cannot be reimbursed.
7. Shipping time estimates
We offer DHL Standard Shipping (incl. track & trace). Normally it takes 2-5 working days for shipping within Germany and most countries within the European Union. Shipping outside of the European Union usually takes 10-15 days, but may vary due to circumstances beyond our control.
Are you purchasing a gift? Please make sure to schedule enough time for the delivery, and/or contact us beforehand.
Is your preferred shipping option not available? Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss a tailored shipping method. We are always happy to help!
8. Delivery region
We are happy to offer worldwide shipping under the conditions outlined in this Terms & Conditions, but we reserve the right to cancel any orders to areas that are not serviced by reputable carriers, or where service is disrupted or unsafe, or areas which we cannot service due to administrative reasons at the time your order is made. Because shipping circumstances and local regulations vary widely between different regions, we reserve the right to cancel any order, decided on a case by case basis. Should this be the case for your order, we will contact you and are happy to help and find a possible solution for you, or refund your order.
9. Payment options
The purchase price has to be paid in advance and is due with your order. The goods will only be dispatched when the purchase price and any applicable additional costs have been paid into our account or we have received a corresponding payment guarantee from your bank. Payment can be made in the following ways:
Bank transfer (any transfer fees are to be covered by the customer)
Cash payment upon delivery (in the Heidelberg area, Germany).
Paypal (includes most Credit Card options)
10. Ownership
Any items you order remain our property until they have been paid in full. We will reserve orders for you up to 14 days after your order is placed. If your order has not been paid in full by then, we will cancel your order, and the item will be placed back in our shop.
11. Cancellation & Return Policy
Are you in any way disappointed with your order? Please contact us by email at within 14 days of the delivery.
Our Fine Art Prints and original artworks are packed with great care to make sure they reach their destination safely, but accidents may happen. We have a 14-day return policy (after receipt) for artworks that are damaged during transport. Please specify the damage in your e-mail with photo’s attached. When a return is arranged with us by email, you will have 14 days to dispatch the artwork with a reputable carrier.
Please be aware that any shipping costs incurred for the original shipment (including applicable taxes and duties) cannot be reimbursed. The costs for the return shipment are paid by the customer. The customer is responsible for the safe return of the work of art with Track & Trace, using an established carrier. The customer is responsible for the parcel until it reaches us. Refunds are made as soon as the work of art has been returned safely.
Please contact us before you arrange any returns! We cannot accept returns at our PO box or “Impressum” address, and will only accept returns that are shipped (with the right forms) to the return address arranged in advance. We cannot reimburse returns that are incorrectly addressed.
We cannot reimburse orders that are shipped and then declined upon delivery, or declined or abandoned (not collected or accepted in time) at post offices and customs offices.
We reserve the right to cancel any order, but will refund any money you have paid if we do.
12. Gift Cards
Gift cards are digital products. After the purchase, you will receive an email with the gift card and instructions on how to use it. You can forward any gift card digitally, or write down the code on your own hand-written card. The code can be used as payment for any products we have in our store. Once all value attached to the individual gift card code is used, the card deactivates.
Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash and are non-refundable.
Gift Cards may only be purchased using a direct payment method by PayPal offered upon checkout. Please select one of our pre-paid PAYPAL methods to ensure your Gift Card will be valid. Gift Cards that are not pre-paid are disabled and cannot be redeemed for products in our shop. A notice about these conditions is given in the product description of the Gift Card in our store, in our shopping bag, and during our checkout process.
